Hendricks County man charged with making bomb threats to Florida State University

GREENCASTLE, Ind. ( December 20, 2015)–Greencastle Police have arrested a Hendricks County man in connection with bomb threats called into Florida State University.

Brandon Wingler, 28,  of Amo, has been arrested and charged with two counts of false reporting, a level 6 felony, and two counts of intimidation, a level 6 felony. He will not face charges in Florida.

According to investigators, Wingler allegedly made two threatening calls from local gas stations on December 17.

Greencastle Police were contacted by the Florida State University Police asking for help in locating the person who made the calls.

Surveillance photos of a person of interest were posted on the Greencastle Police Department Facebook page which led to several tips.

Wingler was arrested Saturday and is being held in the Putnam County jail on $1 million bond.

No court date has been set as yet.
