INDIANAPOLIS — Fire damages a near east side home under renovation early Friday morning.
Firefighters responded to the 300 block of Walcott Street around 3:15 a.m.
When they arrived, thick smoke could be seen from the home’s roof.
According to an Indianapolis Fire Department Spokesman, several neighbors reported hearing a loud sound then the loss of electricity.
They checked outside and called 911 after noticing smoke in the area.
The fire was brought under control in about 20 minutes, but not before the fire did an estimated $40,000 dollars damage.
There were no injuries.
