Thousands of Hoosiers walked Saturday night to raise money to battle cancer.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society held its annual Light The Night Walk at Victory Field and White River State Park.  The event honored those battling blood cancers and remembered those who lost their battle.  In addition, the walk raised funds to provide treatments for leukemia patients and to fund research to cure the disease.

Final fundraising totals were not available, but the event was anticipated to raise more than $610,000 this year.
