COLUMBUS , Ind. (Feb. 20, 2015) – Hoosiers are getting ready for more snow this weekend.

In Columbus on Friday, crews with the City Garage department worked on their trucks to make sure they were ready for the snow the next morning. The department will have 20 crews, plowing Saturday. They will plow more than 500 lane miles.

“We’re always ready. Maybe (we are) not looking forward to it, but we’re ready,” Bryan Burton said.
Burton is the director of the Columbus City Garage. Burton said they expect to get between 4 to 6 inches of snow.

“We’ve had a great winter compared to last year, so far up to this point. What’s tiresome (for) the guys (is the) back to back (plowing). This is our third time going out within a week so that (is wearing) the guys down quickly,” Burton said.

Burton encourages Hoosiers to move their car from city streets in order for their plows to get through to clear the roads.
