Hoosiers running to eliminate domestic violence

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Hundreds will gather Saturday morning downtown at the Indy City Market for the annual Race Away from Domestic Violence 5K Walk/Run.

The Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence is sponsoring the event and expects more than 800 participants. The race raises funds to help the organization work to eliminate domestic violence with programs focusing on prevention, awareness, advocacy and legal assistance.

The race starts at 8 a.m. and is open to people of all ages.
