INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Three teenagers were wounded after a late night shooting on the northest side of Indianapolis.

The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday at a gas station near the intersection of East 42nd Street and North Mitthoeffer Road.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department found three males with gunshot wounds.

A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old were taken to the hospital in critical condition. They were listed as “cautiously stable” according to IMPD Major Harold S. Turner.

A third victim, another 18-year-old, was taken to the hospital in good condition.

Major Turner says there was a large gun battle between two groups of people, but it’s unclear how many people were involved.

An investigation is ongoing.
