INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after a shooting left two people wounded Saturday morning.
The IMPD said officers responded to the area of Orchid Bloom Drive and Orchid Bloom Place Saturday morning on a report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found two victims with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
An initial investigation indicates the shooting happened after a disturbance between two families. At some point during the dispute, two people pulled guns and started shooting.
A father and son from one of the families were wounded in the shooting. The father was shot in the shoulder and was transported to the hospital in a stable condition. The son was shot in the abdomen and was last listed in critical condition.
