IMPD investigating fatal shooting of 21-year-old man on city’s west side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Metro police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man on the city’s west side.

Officers say they were called to the scene in the 1100 block of Hardin Blvd. around 6:07 p.m. Wednesday.

Responding officers found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound inside a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the other party involved was detained and questioned by detectives.

Police say the shooting is being investigated as self-defense. No arrests have been made at this time.
