INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A man was found shot to death on the north side early Saturday morning.

EMS located Jakoby Hughes, 22, around 12:45 a.m. when they arrived on scene on Bellefontaine Street, just north of 22nd Street. Officials say Hughes was unresponsive and suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Police say Hughes was found on a sidewalk next to a running car.  They are unsure of who owns the car, or if it is connected to the crime.

The shooting is being investigated as a homicide, and forensic services remained at the location collecting evidence well into the morning.
