INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A K9 officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department passed away last week.

According to IMPD, K9 Bravo served on active duty with Officer Mike Diehl. He was recently diagnosed with kidney failure and was transitioned to non-patrol function.

After a courageous battle, he passed died on Thanksgiving Day.

“Please join us in memorializing a dedicated servant to not only the men and women of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department but to the entire Indianapolis community,” IMPD wrote on Facebook.
