Indiana Black Expo kicks off with prayer for change

The Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration officially kicked off Thursday.

An ecumenical service was held at the Light of the World Christian Church on North Michigan Road.

Reverend Frank Thomas spoke at the event, which was free to anyone who showed up.

Attendees also took time to pray for a positive turnaround in the Circle City after a recent string of violence.
