Indiana State Troopers kept busy due to weather

LOWELL, Ind. (Feb. 1, 2014) — Indiana State Troopers in Northwest Indiana were busy Saturday after snow covered major roadways.

Lowell district has as much as 6 to 10 inches of snow fall in spots, causing numerous crashes, slide-offs and jack-knifes.

Police are asking that if you are going to be traveling in the area to rethink your trip and to allow extra time, reduce speeds and not follow too closely.
