INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (July 11, 2014)– The Indianapolis Colts, Meijer and GE are giving away 4,000 blue light bulbs Friday to contribute to the movement honoring the life of IMPD Officer Perry Renn.

Officer Renn was shot and killed in the line of duty Saturday, July 5th.

The community began turning on blue light bulbs as a sign of solidarity, calling it Going Blue for IMPD. So many people bought the bulbs that they became hard to find.

The free bulbs will be available from 4-6 p.m. at the Meijer at 5349 Pike Plaza Rd and the Southport Road Meijer at 5325 E. Southport Rd. The bulbs will be available near the front of the store.

People are encouraged to put the bulbs on their front porches and turn them on Friday evening after Ofc. Renn is laid to rest.
