WARRIOR, Alabama (Oct. 20, 2014)– A man wanted in Marion County for murder and robbery has been killed in Alabama.

Homicide investigators say that Adam Madison, 28, of Indianapolis, was fatally wounded during an officer-involved shooting in Warrior, Alabama.

FOX 6 in Alabama reports that Madison was shot at a traffic checkpoint on Friday.

“During the checkpoint the officer encountered an individual that became confrontational. At some point during the confrontation things became physical and our officer was forced to use their force by discharging his firearm,” Warrior Police Sgt. Corey Archer told FOX 6.

Madison was wanted in connection to the shooting of Darrick Johnson, 43, outside of the Post Pub located at 2101 North Post Road, in the early morning hours of September 18. Johnson was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition and succumbed to his wounds on October 9.
