Indianapolis police find missing Amish man

UPDATE: Graber was located and safely reunited with his family at 7 p.m.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 21, 2016) – IMPD is asking for the community’s help in finding a missing Amish man.

According to IMPD, Jacob Graber, 74, is a member of the Amish community in Mitchell, Indiana. He has been diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, and it is believed he is not taking his prescribed medication.

Graber was in Indianapolis with family to visit someone who is recovering in the hospital. He was last seen by a family member at 10:30 AM in a waiting room for the burn unit at Eskenazi Hospital.

Graber is a white male, five feet eight inches tall, 170 pounds, and he has white hair and a long white beard. He was last seen wearing a white dress shirt with black suspenders, black pants, black shoes and possibly a waist length black wool coat. Graber is not wearing a hat, he walks a bit hunched over, and he does not have a cell phone.  Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
