INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A woman says she found a bullet in a box of mint chocolate cookies that she purchased at a north side Family Dollar.

Officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of North Meridian to investigate on Thursday.

The woman told police she realized there was a hole in the box after she had already eaten some. She turned the box upside down and bullet reportedly fell out.

She says she bought the baked goods at a Family Dollar near the intersection of 38th Street and Kenwood Avenue.

Upon examination of the box, police found the hole with a bullet that appears to have struck a hard object and lodged itself at the bottom of the box.

The bullet was collected as evidence and transported to the property room.
