INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Mar. 3, 2016)– An Indianapolis man pleaded guilty to theft Thursday and received his sentence.
Harvey Mims, 53, was arrested on Nov. 1, 2015 after he tried to steal about $80 worth of steak from the Marsh at 2135 North Post Road.
At the time of the arrest, police said Mims put the steak “down his pants and (was) attempting to shoplift the meat.”
Mims pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 365 days, all suspended except for 90 days of home detention.
He was also ordered to stay away from Marsh stores in Marion County for 271 days.
