Detectives need your help to identify the suspects in a deadly shooting.  Police said they consider them armed and dangerous.

The Shell Gas Station near 25th and Keystone released surveillance video of the altercation.  At 3:30 a.m. the video shows the victim, Carl Gildersleeve, pull his SUV up to the pump.  A man walked up to Gildersleeve, two others followed.  They start fighting.

Then, one of the men fired shots, Gildersleeve was hit.  The three men took off.  Carl Gildersleeve died at the scene.

Family friend Nina Vance was severely shaken to learn Carl did not make it.

“Very, very surprising, said Vance.  “Very surprising.  To know that someone that touched a lot of hearts.  It was very shocking and very surprising.”

Vance said Carl moved to Indianapolis from Flint, Michigan to find a safer city, to get a better job, and to spend time with his son.

“It is going to be hard,” said Vance.  “His son is only four, but he is going to know that his dad is not here, because he is very smart for four years old.  Those two were as thick as thieves together.”

The three men were riding in a silver four-door Hyundai.

“It is a tragedy,” said Vance.  “Whoever did this just does not realize the damage they have done, and they have done damage to a lot of people.”

Anyone who has information should call police.
