INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (January 16, 2016) – The Indy Snow Force will increase drivers out on the roads today and into the overnight hours to keep roads as safe as possible given this weekend’s weather conditions. Snow Force had 12 drivers on City streets overnight Friday to combat any icy patches that rose as a result of the rain and rapid drop in temperatures. Snow Force has now activated 39 drivers that will continue this strategy into the overnight hours, paying close attention to intersections, bridges and overpasses.

Drivers should use caution on the road and make sure they leave plenty of time to reach their destinations as DPW operators run their routes. DPW Operations will be monitoring city roadways and resources very closely as temperatures continue to drop.
