While the Indianapolis Colts and the Circle City are welcoming Peyton Manning back this weekend with open arms, many still want their former quarterback to know who they hope will win Sunday night’s game against the Denver Broncos.

Mayor Greg Ballard and former Colt Jeff Saturday made it perfectly clear by turning the canal in downtown Indy perfectly blue. The event at 6:30 Friday morning was meant to mark the return of primetime football, rather than the return of Peyton.

Tickets to the game have gotten more and more expensive in recent days on secondary markets like StubHub.

As of Friday morning, StubHub had roughly 2,200 tickets remaining at prices ranging from $153 to nearly $13,000.

Those planning to just enjoy the downtown atmosphere Sunday with or without a ticket are expecting packed restaurants and bars.

“The calls are already flooding in,” said Scotty’s Brewhouse General Manager Dave Hornak. “We don’t take reservations – first come first served – and we expect long lines out the door.”

Most fans have mixed emotions, but are pulling for the Colts. Not everyone.

“I want Peyton Manning to win,” said football fan Karin Baker. “He should’ve stayed with the Colts.

“Man I know it’s going to be a big game,” said Colts fan Duane Irwin. “I know Peyton’s coming back, but I think Andrew Luck’s gonna take it.”
