UPDATE:
Police have made an arrest in the deadly shooting.
ORIGINAL STORY:
INDIANAPOLIS — Just before 11 p.m. Thursday, IMPD responded to a report of a man shot near the 9900 block of East 38th Street.
When officers arrived, they located a victim with injuries consistent of gunshot wound(s). The victim was pronounced deceased shortly after.
Police have ruled this incident a homicide.
Investigators say they have a person of interest in custody, and do not believe there is a threat to the general public.
Police are also looking for a white van that witnesses say left the scene. The vehicle has lettering describing it as an ice cream truck, and is decorated with an “angry bird” image, according to a police spokesman.
