INDIANAPOLIS, Ind, (Jan. 3, 2015) — Police are looking for the man they say hit a pedestrian, smashed into a utility pole and then took off running.

The family of the victim said the man died Saturday morning at the hospital.

The crash happened just after 3 a.m.  Saturday, on Washington Avenue at Colorado Street.

A neighbor heard a commotion outside, looked out and saw a man running from a wrecked car. Another man was laying in the grass at the corner.

The victim had been hit by the car. He was taken to Eskenazi in serious condition, where he later died.
