INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 15, 2016)– A former swim coach for North Central High School pleaded guilty Friday to child seduction.
Matthew Carrington, 36, was a swim coach from December 2012 until he was terminated in February 2015.
He had been sentenced to roughly two years in jail, but his sentence was suspended except for his one day of time served. He is now on probation.
As part of the plea agreement, Carrington agrees to not engage in any coaching, teaching, swimming events or mentoring activities involving children under the age of 18
The former coach was accused of fondling a 16-year-old girl on school property and sexting her.
