INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating a shooting that left a man dead on the city’s far east side.

Police were sent to a residence on Redskin Place just before 2:30 a.m. Monday. That address matches Stonybrook Commons Apartments off 30th Street.

A male gunshot victim, later identified as 25-year-old Derell Brown, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He died from his injuries.

Homicide detectives are now investigating.

This shooting follows a violent weekend, where six people were killed in a mass shooting Sunday.
