INDIANAPOLIS — One man is in serious condition Sunday after police say more than 12 shots were fired on the city’s near northeast side.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched around 2:15 p.m. Sunday to the area of East 34th Street and Forest Manor Avenue after a caller reported hearing more than a dozen shots.

When officers arrived, they located a victim with gunshot wound(s). The victim is said to be in serious but stable condition.

IMPD officers also spotted shell casings in two different locations in the area, saying they were about 100 feet apart.
