INDIANAPOLIS — Police arrested a man Monday for his alleged involvement in the death of Justus Hudson, who was shot and killed December 3 on Indianapolis’ near southeast side.

Officers were called to the 1600 block of Harlan Street on a report of a person shot at about 9 p.m. last Thursday.

Police found Hudson, 27, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where he later died despite the best life-saving measures.

Homicide detectives investigated the incident and identified the alleged suspect as 25-year-old Rashaad Bass. Bass was arrested Monday and charged with murder.

The Marion County Prosecutors Office will review the case and determine final charges.
