INDIANAPOLIS — A woman was shot and killed Monday on the near northwest side of Indianapolis, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Shortly before 4:30 p.m., police were called to the 1200 block of Congress Avenue.

Officers arrived to find a woman shot, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities identified her on Tuesday as 33-year-old Reonna Jackson.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
