Police investigate person shot on near north side

INDIANAPOLIS — Metro police investigated a shooting on the city’s near north side.

Officers responded to the 3700 block of Boulevard Place, near West 38th Street and Capitol Avenue, around 1:30 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found a person suffering a gunshot wound.

Medics transported the victim to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition. Metro homicide also detectives responded to the scene.
