Police investigating deadly shooting on Indy’s northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after a man was killed in a shooting on Indy’s northeast side.

The IMPD said the shooting happened in the 3900 block of Delmont Drive just after 4:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man lying on the sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.

IMPD homicide detectives were called to the scene and began the investigation. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the IMPD Homicide Office at 317-327-3471 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477.
