2 hospitalized after shooting on Indy’s northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A double shooting on Indy’s northwest side has left one victim in critical condition.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded Saturday evening to a gas station in the 3800 block of High School Road after a reported shooting. Once officers arrived, however, they found only broken glass and shell casings.

Witnesses told police a car was spotted fleeing north of the gas station after the shooting. The car was discovered at Pike Township Fire Station on 56th Street and Georgetown Road, where one of the victim’s in the shooting drove themselves after being shot.

This victim was transported to Methodist Hospital were they are reported to be in stable condition.

A short time later, investigators discovered that a second victim had been dropped off at an area hospital.

The second shooting victim is said to be in critical condition and underwent surgery.

The investigation is ongoing, but police said at this time there is no current suspect information.
