INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 5, 2014) – Indianapolis Metropolitan police are investigating armed robberies at two Steak ‘n Shake locations.

Thieves struck first at a Steak ‘n Shake at 5827 E. 71st Street just before midnight. According to a report from IMPD, two suspects entered the restaurant with guns and stole cell phone from two employees. They then left through the back exit.

About an hour later, the Steak ‘n Shake at 7230 Woodland Dr. was robbed. In that case, employees said two masked men with guns entered the store and took cash from three registers and the safe.

Investigators didn’t say if the two robberies were linked.
