INDIANAPOLIS (October 22, 2014) – Two people were shot at a gas station on the city’s east side early Wednesday morning.

Police received a call regarding a person shot around 12:40 a.m. in the 8100 block of East 37th Street.

When officers arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in good condition

They also found a female about a block away with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. She was also transported to Eskenazi in stable condition.

A car with more than 10 bullet holes was discovered at the scene.

According to police, the shooting actually happened at the Marathon gas station on 42nd Street and North Franklin Road.

The victims drove themselves to 37th Street and Harvest Avenue where they called police. Police are investigating if the two shooting victims had any involvement in a robbery earlier Wednesday morning. Investigators also said one of the victims had been arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Aggravated assault detectives were called to the scene.
