INDIANAPOLIS — Police made an arrest in a shooting that left two men injured in the east side Sunday night.
Indianapolis Metropolitan police officers responded to reports of a person shot around 6:47 p.m. at 611 Belhaven Dr. Sunday evening. Officers arrived and found two people with gunshot wounds.
One of them was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Police identified the second one as 38-year-old Christopher Middlebrook, who was found shot inside a nearby apartment before being taken to a hospital.
Detectives were able to identify all parties involved in the incident. Within hours of the shooting, Middlebrook was arrested on a preliminary charge of attempted murder.
IMPD said the shooting stemmed from an argument. The case remains under investigation and the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will make a final charging decision.
