HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. (April 8, 2016) – A man found inside his home with several gunshot wounds has died from his injuries, according to the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies found Brian Edwards, 62, and his deceased wife Laura Edwards in their home in the 10200 block of Homestead Drive around 12 p.m. on Saturday April 2.

Brian was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in extremely critical condition, where he later died. Investigators believe his gunshot wounds were self-inflicted.

Initially, when officers arrived on scene, they thought Laura was also shot because of how close she was to Brian’s body and his obvious wounds. But an autopsy revealed that there were no signs of trauma. Toxicology results are pending, as is her cause and manner of death.
