IPL hands out free trees for Arbor Day

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 25, 2014) – The Indianapolis Power & Light Co. will hand out 1,000 free oak trees for Arbor Day today.

The company’s annual Indy Free Tree event will take place on Monument Circle from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

 The trees will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to one per family.

Additionally, one lucky attendee will find a $100 gift card to Eagle Creek Nursery attached to their free tree.

Experts will also be available to give tips on planting, pruning and site selection.
