INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Aug. 27, 2015)– The IPS school board approved a pay raise for nearly 500 teachers Thursday.
The new contract immediately raises the base salary of teachers to $40,000 per year. That is a 12 percent increase.
Teachers “at their stride” with 3-10 years in the district get a 5-10 percent raise.
All of the raises are dependent on the teachers being rated “effective” or “highly effective,” but nearly all of them got that rating last year.
Board approves new collective bargaining agreement to give IPS teachers a raise!! 🙌🏽☺️
