INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 1, 2014) — Indianapolis Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Lewis Ferebee held a town hall meeting Saturday morning at the Julia Carson Government Center.

There are several meetings scheduled over the next three weeks and the community is encouraged to attend and share their input about the district’s successes and challenges through a survey.

“Community feedback plays a critical role in our decision-making process, and we are working to establish effective communication systems that support stakeholder relationships,” said Indianapolis Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Lewis D. Ferebee. “These important conversations allow us to promote transparency and build trust, as we work to develop a comprehensive framework that guides the improvement of district schools.”

Dr. Ferebee, who will be at the meetings, encourages all members of the community, not just parents, to attend the meetings.

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at the Southeast Community Service Center Senior Citizen Center.
