IU’s Lilly King earns second Olympic gold medal with 4×100 medley relay win

RIO RIO DE JANEIRO – Indiana University’s Lilly King won her second gold medal at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics Saturday.

The 19-year-old Evansville native earned the second medal as part of the 4×100 medley relay team.

With this victory, the United States becomes the first nation to win 1,000 gold medals during the modern-era Summer Olympics Games, according to the US Olympic Committee.
