Jefferson Shreve was picked during a caucus Saturday to serve out the remainder of Jeff Cardwell’s term as the City-County Councillor for district 23.
Cardwell resigned his position to serve in Governor Mike Pence’s cabinet as Executive Director of the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives.
Shreve is a graduate of Purdue University as well as Indiana University. He also owns Storage Express, a self-storage business with branches in Indiana and several other states.
“Councillor Shreve will be a tremendous addition to the City-County Council. His extensive history as a business owner and job-creator make him an ideal partner for Mayor Greg Ballard and our Republican Council Caucus as they continue efforts to promote economic development and create more jobs in Indianapolis”, said Marion County Republican Chairman Kyle Walker.
