INDIANAPOLIS – Many times in which John Andretti gets a chance to meet the children he supports with his annual kart race during Brickyard week in July, it comes in a much different place.

For the patients at Riley Hospital For Children are often in that facility when he gets a chance to interact with them throughout the year.

But Monday was a bit different, as Andretti had the chance to take ten Riley kids out for a true racing experience.

“A race shop is a place we know, we love and we feel at ease at,” said Andretti-and that’s why he brought them to Andretti Autosport’son Monday afternoon.

The former NASCAR and IndyCar driver conducted a tour of the facility with the children while also introducing them to team owner Michael Andretti over lunch.

“They’re asking racing questions, things that we know about and can have fun with,” said Andretti of the afternoon.
