A holiday experiment by UPtv reveals the true meaning of Christmas. Dozens of kids from the Atlanta Metro Boys and Girls Club are given the chance to choose a gift for themselves or a gift for their parents.
83 percent of those kids come from low income households.
Every single child in the experiment chose giving a gift to their parents over receiving a gift for themselves.
One boy said, “LEGOs don’t matter, your family matters. Not LEGOs, not toys, your family… So if it’s either family or LEGOs, I choose family.”
In the end, the children got to keep both presents!
