Lafayette woman falls victim to armed robbery in broad daylight in Meijer parking lot

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (April 19, 2016) – A woman was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight by two people in a Meijer parking lot.

Police responded to a report of armed robbery on April 15 at 10:19 a.m. at the Meijer located at 4901 State Road 26 East.

The victim told police that she was approached by two suspects while loading groceries into her vehicle. They displayed a gun and demanded her purse.

After stealing her purse, the suspects fled the scene in a maroon van. The victim described the suspects as a black man around 30-years-old wearing gray sweatpants and a black female between 25 and 30-years-old wearing a black sweatshirt.
