LEBANON (Nov. 13, 2014) – There will be no alcohol allowed at the Herman B. Wells Building at Lebanon High School.

That was the decision Thursday morning from the school board on an issue that sparked fierce debate.

The policy would’ve allowed people who rent a community space built onto the high school to apply for a permit to serve beer and wine.

Alcohol wouldn’t have been allowed during times when students were present. The school board tabled a vote on the polarizing issue last month.

Board members said Thursday that opinions were split on the matter but they agreed it’s best not to allow alcohol on school grounds.
