WHITESTOWN, IND. — Duke Realty Corporation announced this week that grocer Meijer will soon build a long-planned store in the Anson development.

Anson is a mixed-use development that encompasses 1,700 acres in southern Boone County.

The store will be located between Central Boulevard and Whitestown Parkway, former State Road 334, east of I-65.

In a press release from Duke Realty, Dawn Semler, Town Council President of Whitestown said “We are excited that Meijer chose the Town of Whitestown for one of their 2013 construction starts, with the store opening planned for 2014.”

The store follows a string of new development in the Whitestown area, including a new 255-lot Pulte Homes development, a 92-room Hampton Inn, and several restaurants in a nearby retail center.
