INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 25, 2014) — The National Rifle Association is here in Indianapolis this weekend, and along with them, come several big names in Republican politics.

Marco Rubio, Bobby Jindal, and Rick Santorum are all in town to speak at Friday’s NRA leadership forum, where attendees also heard from Gov. Mike Pence.

“Because of all of you, we’re preserving our freedoms in this state and this nation and I commend you for your stand,” said Pence, who was scheduled to appear Sunday with Chris Wallace on FOX News Sunday.

Meantime, local candidates are busy preparing for what’s shaping up to be a relatively quiet May primary.

But this week we’re taking a closer look at one of the more bizarre stories this campaign season – involving a political candidate from Florida who is running for Congress in multiple states, including Indiana.

Erin Kent Magee is running in the Republican primary for Congress, for the seat held now by Andre Carson, who is seeking re-election this year in the 7th district.

But Magee is also running for senate in Tennessee, and he filed paperwork to run for congress in Florida, where he lives.

FOX59 spoke with Magee on Friday from his home in Florida, and during that conversation, he admitted he’s never even been to Indiana.

You can see more of our interview with Magee in the video above.
