Hoosiers are cashing in on tax refunds this season.

The State Department of Revenue says 76 percent of Indiana filers have received the automatic taxpayer refund. That was the money the state paid Hoosiers back from excess reserves at the end of the 2012 fiscal year.

The credit is $111 for individuals and $222 for couples.

If you didn’t get a credit this year, don’t worry. State leaders say if there is a surplus in future budgets, the credit may be made available again.
