Man accused of assaulting woman at Sunday’s Colts game not charged

UPDATE (Oct. 24, 2013)– A man who was arrested after a woman claimed he intentionally fell on her during a Colts game, causing her to sustain injuries, will not be charged in connection with the incident.  Kevin Moore, 40, was arrested earlier this week, but police said no charges will be brought against him.  The original story is below:

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Oct. 21, 2013)— A man was arrested following Sunday night’s Indianapolis Colts game after a female victim reported he intentionally fell on her, causing serious injuries.

Kevin Moore, 40, was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery causing injuring.

According to the police report, an officer met with the 41-year-old female victim, who was taken to the emergency room at Methodist Hospital following the incident. The woman told the officer Moore and other male spectators were watching the game in the stands behind her. She reported the men were intoxicated and disruptive, so she contacted security personnel several times in an attempt to calm them down.

The victim said after the game, Moore fell over his seat, intentionally striking her in the back and causing her to fall into the seat below her. According to the report, the victim sustained a large laceration on her forehead and severe contusions to her legs and ankles.

After speaking to several witnesses, officers arrested Moore at an area hotel.
