Victim identified in fatal northwest side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 10, 2015)– A man was shot and killed Friday on the northwest side of Indianapolis.

Officers were called to a report of shots fired in the 3800 block of Bennett Drive, near West 38th Street and Moller Road, around 4:15 p.m.

Police found a man who they later identified as Patrick Wilson, 66, laying at the bottom of the stairs with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was unresponsive and was pronounced dead shortly after.
