INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Metro police are investigating the shooting death of a man whose body was found lying on a sidewalk early Thursday.

Officers were called to the intersection of East 20th Street and North Parker Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. where they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. On Dec. 5, the coroner identified the victim as Christopher Martin, 37.

Detectives are canvassing the area and working to piece together what happened. Investigators believe this was an isolated incident and there’s no ongoing threat to the community.
