COLUMBUS, Ind. (April 2, 2015) – A man who was found guilty on four counts of murder in connection with a May 2013 quadruple slaying in southern Indiana was sentenced to life without parole Thursday.
Samuel Sallee, 57, shot and killed four people inside a house in Waynesville, Ind. Police believe the shootings may have been connected to a suspected meth drug deal.
Katheryn Burton, 53, her 39-year-old boyfriend, Thomas Smith, and two friends, Aaron Cross and Shawn Burton, both 41-year-old Columbus residents, were fatally shot. Sallee denied any involvement in their deaths, and claimed he was an undercover drug informant.
